The game was an international friendly after almost a year break due to the coronavirus pandemic. The game took place in Antalya, Turkey and without fans because of the coronavirus.
The game was Charles Akonnor’s first since his taking over the top in January this year. He has waited for nine months to prove himself to Ghanaians but unfortunately he lost to Mali with 3 goals in the first game after taken the job.
The Malians were dominant throughout the game, they always push the ball with more energy which made it difficult for the Black Stars to overpower them.
