Former president and the flag bearer of the largest opposition party NDC, John Dramami Mahama in a post on Facebook monitored by emerginonline. com stated, the outbreak of COVID-19 has really demonstrated every nation deserves a strong health system. John Mahama has clearly stated that, access to healthcare is a human right so there should be enough done at the health sector to make everyone has that equal opportunity.
He added that, telemedicine tools have to be developed to support the construction and provision of modern and well-equipped health facilities.
John Mahama was known for his massive investment in the health sector during his time as the president of the republic of Ghana.
Some of the major health facilities he constructed during his tenure of office were, Legon medical Center, Ridge hospital, Tema Maritime hospital, Bank of Ghana hospital, Osudoku District hospital and many more.
In the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, these major health facilities are being used to isolate the patients and where treatment is being given to them though the ruling party refused to put them to use at first.
John Mahama is seeking to be elected as the president of the republic again in the December, 2020 election, are we going to see more modern health facilities constructed by him when elected into office come 2020?
Below is the the post;
”The outbreak of #COVID-19 has demonstrated yet again that a strong healthcare system is vital for any country. Access to healthcare is a human right!”
”We have to develop telemedicine tools to support the construction and provision of modern and well-equipped health facilities across the country. This will make it easier for every Ghanaian to access quality healthcare”.
Together, we build a future #Ghana
